How to Invite

When you are planning to host a 1ViZN Opportunity Meeting there is a lot to prepare for including what you are going to discuss, where you are going to have the meeting and when you are going to have it. But one of the hardest things to do when preparing for your Opportunity Meeting is inviting people to come.

Maybe you have already enrolled your sister and mother-in-law, but you are not sure if your friends will be interested and you don’t want to make them feel uncomfortable. You are surrounded by people at work, the grocery store, your neighbors, but some of them are complete strangers. So how do you approach someone to attend an Opportunity Meeting?

If you are nervous to ask someone else to a 1ViZN Opportunity Meeting, we have a few quick tips to help you invite others without making it an awkward situation.

1.Be Real, be Normal, be Yourself.

Think about how you would ask your friends to come over to a BBQ or a birthday party. You usually call your friend and open with something like “Hi” “What’s up?” “How are you doing?”

2. Be Direct.

Don’t dance around the request. Say “I’d like to invite you to a Opportunity Meeting I am hosting about 1ViZN. Would you like to come?” It might sound strange in your head but in reality its not awkward because you are getting right to the point.

3. Don’t Overwhelm Them With Information.

Give them enough information to spark their interest but don’t give everything away. Explain that it is something they need to see and try for themselves to fully understand it.

4. Wrap up With a Reassuring Statement.

People want to know you have their best interest at heart. End your invitation with a statement like: “I would not waste your time if I did not feel this was important” or “This is something I believe could make a huge impact in your life and I want to share it with you.”
