1. Ask Others
Talk to your up-line or mentor, a family member, or a close friend. Choose people you know well from different walks of life. Make sure that they will be honest with you. Ask for specific examples of when they have seen you demonstrate these strengths.
2. Spot Patterns
As you receive feedback, look for common themes that appear. You may want to make a list of these themes, and the key examples that support them. What do these themes suggest about your strengths?
3. Breakdown Your Biggest Wins
Think of a time you did a great job on a challenging work project, or a time you felt particularly accomplished. What were you doing at the time, what skills helped you achieve your end result?
4. Figure Out What Comes Naturally to You
While determining what your strengths are as an entrepreneur, take a look inward and into the past and figure out what you have been a ‘natural’ at. Focus on coming up with at least 5 things you are a natural at.
5. Watch for signs of excitement
When you are engaged in an activity you’re good at, your excitement is evident. When you are using a core strength you feel motivated. Look for your excitement during activities to notice strengths.
Now that you have taken the time to find your strengths and skills as an entrepreneur, it is time to put them into action. Create an action plan for how and when you will utilize your strengths.
